Onion Podcasts is a podcast platform for finding and organizing shows, listening to episodes, and playing live radio in the same player. Listeners can browse public episodes without an account, explore by category, language, or trending topic, and search titles, descriptions, and categories in three languages. Playlists can be created and shared. On Android, listeners can download unlimited episodes for offline listening without an account or expiry; the web player streams episodes. The Android app supports Android 7 and later, and there is no iOS app yet. Creators can host and publish podcasts without a monthly fee, receive an open RSS feed, and offer private feeds to paid subscribers for use in other podcast apps. They can set up to three subscription tiers with payments going directly to their own Stripe account, and attach up to 10 tier-gated extras to episodes.
