What it is
OGG IND is a web-based business strategy simulation in which participants run a large industrial company with multiple product lines. Players take the CEO role, receive seed capital, and make decisions across production, finance, marketing, and human resources while competing for the market. They can select one of Porter’s generic strategies at the outset and face changing demand, strikes, and other configured economic events. A stock exchange feature adds market triggers to management decisions. Scenarios vary in complexity, and instructors can customize events and use a Balanced Scorecard dashboard to review operations and generate management reports. Reports include income statements, cash flow, KPIs, balance sheets, estimated and realized budgets, and the dashboard. The simulation supports multiplayer participation, instructor oversight, and assessment tools. It runs in a browser on desktops, laptops, and tablets without additional software installation. Available languages are English, French, and Brazilian Portuguese; sessions can run from eight hours to one semester. Pricing is available on request.
