What it is
Nikon NX Studio is a free desktop suite for viewing, processing, and editing still images and video captured with Nikon digital cameras. It combines viewing features from ViewNX-i with processing and editing capabilities from Capture NX-D. Supported files include Nikon RAW .NEF and .NRW, plus JPEG and TIFF images. Editing tools cover cropping, straightening, retouching, corrections, Picture Controls, and local color and exposure adjustments. Color Control Points and the LCH Tool enable targeted or broad color changes. Movie Editor can trim footage, add music, combine clips, and create slideshows from stills and video. Browsing includes thumbnails, location data, metadata, comparisons, focus-point overlays, labels, and ratings. Users can edit XMP/IPTC information and apply presets. RAW edits can be saved in sidecar files or written to the original. Flexible Color Picture Control supports adjustments to up to eight colors and custom profiles. The software runs on Windows 11 and supported macOS versions, and an internet connection is required for all functions.
