newnamer
What it is
newnamer is a free web tool for generating domain ideas and checking whether names appear available. It is designed for naming apps, websites, businesses, products, and projects. Naming controls let users lock keywords, place them, exclude words, choose the number of words, and select styles such as alliteration, rhyme, or brandable ideas. Generated names use letters only, excluding numbers, hyphens, and other symbols. The checker covers .com, .co.uk, .net, .io, .ai, .app, .dev, .co, .uk, and .org. Users can like or dislike suggestions, filter a shortlist, and request additional names while retaining previous checks and preferences. Availability checks query public DNS-over-HTTPS services, trying Google Public DNS first and Cloudflare as a fallback. Results are a discovery signal rather than a registrar guarantee, so a registered domain without active DNS may appear open. The app does not require an account. Its privacy policy says searched words and domain names may be sent to DNS services, while broad interactions may be tracked without sending entered terms to Google Analytics.
