NetEase Cloud Gaming
NetEase Cloud Gaming · founded 1997
What it is
NetEase Cloud Gaming provides cloud gaming technology and server resources for mobile and PC games. Game operations run in the cloud, so local installation and device storage are not required. The service supports Android, iOS, web, and Windows, and lists Android, iOS, web/PC, and TV among supported devices. Streaming resolution reaches 1080p. Its cloud computer gives users a private space for installing games and apps; games downloaded there can be used in later sessions without downloading again. A persistent disk retains stored data after a session ends. First-time cloud computer users receive a two-day data disk trial, and new users can use free time awarded at registration. The FAQ also says a free UU accelerator is provided. Once the data disk expires, the cloud computer remains playable, but data is cleared at exit. Disk capacity can be expanded but not reduced, and the additional E drive does not retain data after exit. The listed data disk plan costs CN¥10 a month during a promotional period, at 10 yuan per 100 GB per month; expired disk data is cleared upon exit. Other listed plan prices are not provided. The maker was founded in 1997.
