What it is
Neon Wizard is a program for designing and producing full-scale neon patterns for signs and graphics. Sign businesses can use it to prepare patterns for bending glass, either on its own or alongside other design and output programs; smaller shops can send pattern files to wholesale producers. It supports lettering tools, vinyl cutting, cut output, and plotters, and is offered in Standard, Plus, and Pro levels. Version 6.5 adds PDF import and export, improved AI and EPS importing, Adobe Type 1 and OpenType font importing, and anti-aliased rendering. Auto Tube Layout lets users set tube diameter, tube count, edge clearance, and gaps for channel letter layouts. The software displays current and total tube length, which the maker says can support quoting, job costing, and transformer selection. Neon Preview can show a group as an entire layout. Plus adds scanning and vectorizing, image manipulation, advanced neon layout tools, and per-letter tube length summaries. Channel Letter Return Plots are included with Plus and Pro 6.5; Standard can add the module for US$300.00. Designer licenses start at $350, paid once. A trial demo can be requested by email, but it cannot save, export, or print or plot without an X overlay.
