MyHeritage In Color
What it is
MyHeritage In Color automatically colorizes black-and-white photos and restores faded colors in photos originally taken in color. It detects whether a picture is black-and-white or color, then applies the corresponding process. Colorization typically takes a few seconds, depending on image size and detail. The original remains intact while the processed version is saved separately at the original resolution, and either version can be downloaded. Users can compare them with a slider or toggle. Restoring faded color photos also sharpens the image and improves detail. Colorized hues are algorithmic simulations and may not match real-life colors. The tool is available on Android, iOS, and the web, with cloud processing and support for image formats including JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PSD, and TIFF. Photos already uploaded to a MyHeritage family site can also be processed in the mobile app. The Free plan covers up to 10 photos. Complete costs $299 a year, billed $299/year; the first year is $199, and the plan includes unlimited photo colorization. Non-subscribers see a MyHeritage logo watermark; Complete subscribers can create photos without it.
