What it is
Musition is online music theory software for students from beginner through advanced levels. Its 61 topics cover pitch, intervals, scales, chords, rhythm, beaming, tapping, transposition, error detection, and analysis. Students can use interactive exercises, rhythm practice, harmony tools, advanced notation, and MIDI support. Teachers can create quizzes, worksheets, assessments, and exams, then track student progress. Four-part writing receives automatic assessment with annotated feedback. Five orchestral-instrument courses ask about recognition, sound production, clefs, pitch, techniques, terms, and symbols. Musition runs on web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Cloud use works in a browser without a download, while Cloud students need a School Code and PIN. A free trial is offered to teachers, schools, colleges, and universities. Plans include $25, paid once for six months, $39 a year for 12 months, and perpetual licenses at $99 and $169, paid once.
