What it is
mitlist is a shared organizer for people living together, combining shopping lists, rotating chores, expenses and settlements, recipes and meal plans, a pinwall, and a calendar. Household members can update shopping lists in real time, claim items, record prices, and sort a shopping trip around the store. Expenses can be divided equally, by shares, percentages, or exact amounts. Users can save recipes, plan a week, adjust servings, and send ingredients to a shopping list. During public beta, mobile users can scan printed or handwritten grocery lists, with text recognition and grocery matching performed on the device. The app caches household information and queues many edits during connection loss, though offline support is still being improved. Its free plan includes all features for up to four household members, with limits of 1 GB of attachments per household, 10 MB per uploaded file, 100 active lists per household, and 1,000 entries per list. Premium costs €3.99 per month or €29.99 per year for one household of five or more. The product is in public beta; Android testing uses Google Play and iOS access uses TestFlight invitations.
