MIT OpenCourseWare
Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States
What it is
MIT OpenCourseWare is a free, open collection of materials from more than 2,500 MIT courses across the MIT curriculum. Learners browse individual courses and study at their own pace without enrollment, an account, or fixed start and end dates. Materials support academic and independent learning, teaching, and lifelong study. A Classical Mechanics course, for example, includes lecture videos and problem sets, with a Download Course option. MIT permits downloading, modifying, remixing, and reusing materials with attribution to MIT OpenCourseWare, under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. OCW To Go provides offline access on mobile devices for select courses. The collection offers no credit, completion certificate, or degree program. MIT Learn is described as a hub connecting OCW, MITx, and other MIT learning opportunities. Access costs nothing.
