Maildrop
What it is
Maildrop is a free web and API service for receiving email at temporary, disposable addresses without signup or a password. It is intended for one-off purchases, website registrations, and other situations where users do not want to share a real address. Custom addresses are supported. Developers can use the GraphQL API to retrieve mailbox listings and messages, delete messages, and automate email testing. Incoming mail passes through Heluna antispam filters, which the maker says reduce spam by more than 90%. Every inbox is public, so anyone can read its messages, and Maildrop cannot send email. Plain text and HTML messages under 500k are accepted, but attachments are removed. An inbox holds at most 10 messages, and inactive inboxes may be cleared after 24 hours or sooner. Mail servers not previously seen by Maildrop may be greylisted, delaying delivery by at least 15 minutes and sometimes up to an hour. Maildrop says it logs email and web connections and does not promise complete anonymity.

The verdict
Maildrop provides quick, disposable inboxes and a developer API at no cost. Public mailboxes, message limits, removed attachments, delivery delays, and limited anonymity make it unsuitable for sensitive communication.
