Lit Mind Maps
What it is
Lit Mind Maps is a web tool for academic literature search and evidence mapping, intended for Masters and PhD students. Users can ask a research question in plain language or enter a paper title or DOI. The service returns cited answers based on retrieved papers, then organizes those papers into a three-branch literature mind map and idea timeline. Users can change the branch set before searching again. A citation map places a seed paper, its references, and citing papers as bubbles arranged by year and citation count. Optional answer sets address definition, mechanism, evidence, effects, and comparison, with three branches in each set. After signing in and searching, users can download a Word starting draft for a literature review or research proposal. Paper records come from Semantic Scholar. Searches use titles, abstracts, and metadata from retrieved records rather than full-text reading of every paper. The free plan includes two chats; Monthly costs US$15 per month and includes Word starting drafts.
