LibreWolf
What it is
LibreWolf is a free, open-source browser built as an independent custom version of Firefox, focused on privacy, security, and user freedom. It is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows, with uBlock Origin, custom filter lists, and strict Tracking Protection enabled. Defaults also enable Resist Fingerprinting, disable WebGL, delete cookies and website data on close, and turn on Total Cookie Protection. HTTPS-only mode and stricter TLS/SSL negotiation rules are included, while DuckDuckGo and Searx are listed as privacy-conscious search providers. LibreWolf disables telemetry, including crash reports, studies, and personalized recommendations; the project says it collects no data. It follows the latest Firefox version, usually receiving updates within three days of an upstream stable release, but has no automatic updating. DRM playback is disabled by default but can be enabled. The built-in password manager is disabled, and no Android version is currently being developed.
