KakaoCloud Container Registry
Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
What it is
KakaoCloud Container Registry is a managed cloud repository for storing and managing Docker container images. It supports standard Docker images and Docker CLI authentication, push, and pull workflows, and connects with KakaoCloud Kubernetes Engine for image management and deployment. Access is controlled through IAM roles: repository members can push and pull, while viewers can pull only. Trivy can scan images for CVE-based vulnerabilities daily or automatically after a push. Users can review image and tag history and recover earlier versions or deleted tags. Repositories can also be made public so KakaoCloud-authenticated users with the URI can pull without separate repository authentication. Default limits are 1,000 repositories per project, 10,000 images per repository, and 1,000 tags per image; users can request higher quotas. Storage includes 1 GiB free, then costs 0.14 won per GiB per hour. Outbound traffic includes 30 GiB free; higher usage is billed at the listed rates. KakaoCloud also provides tutorials for image workflows, Helm charts, and GitOps on its Kubernetes environment.
