Javelin PDF Reader
London, United Kingdom
What it is
Javelin PDF Reader is a free reader for standard PDFs and documents secured with Drumlin DRM. Downloads are available for Windows 8/10/11, macOS 10.13 or later, Android 7 or later, and iOS or iPadOS 9 or later. Reading tools include hyperlinks, navigation trees, different page-display formats, text search, annotation, and markup. Offline readers provide zooming and Read-Aloud text-to-speech for standard and secured PDFs. Drumlin DRM can restrict copying and onward distribution. Secured documents may have a fixed expiry date or a period that begins at first viewing. Publishers control whether printing is allowed on desktop or laptop devices and can set copy and page limits. Dynamic watermarks can display device or user details, date and time, filenames, and authorization codes. Screen-capture protection is optional on Windows and macOS, always set on Android, and offers some facilities on iOS. Authorization records may include device details and an IP address, and are retained for three years. Corporate networks may require proxy configuration or web authorization.
