Into Film+
London, England, UK
What it is
Into Film+ is a free streaming service for UK schools, offering films, shorts, documentaries, and TV programmes through the Into Film website. Its curriculum-linked titles and resources are intended to support learning outcomes for pupils aged 5–19. The standard catalogue contains hundreds of titles, while Into Film+ Premium offers eligible English state schools an extended catalogue of 600+ titles. Users can save scenes or short segments as highlights and combine them into playlists; playlists are in open beta. Viewing requires a Public Video Screening Licence, which costs £112.50+VAT annually when purchased from Filmbankmedia. Standard content can only be viewed at the location registered to the licence; Premium access outside that location is permitted for eligible English state schools with a valid licence. It works on computers, smartphones, and tablets through a modern browser. Chrome, Firefox, and Edge are supported; IE11 and Safari are not. Subtitles or captions are offered where possible, but audio description is unavailable.
