Instatus
What it is
Instatus helps teams monitor services, work together on incidents, and share status with customers. Its monitors check websites, APIs, cron jobs, hosts, ports, and DNS records, tracking availability and performance over time. Checks can run from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, with locations selected by round robin. Teams can collaborate on incidents and set on-call schedules to notify the right person. Status pages may be public, private, or limited to selected audiences, and can show components, incidents, maintenance, and notices. Integrations include Checkly, Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat, Zapier, and the API. Private pages can use several access methods, including Google SSO, IP allowlists, shared passwords, secure links, and SAML SSO. HTTPS protects data in transit and GPG encrypts database backups, but live database data is not encrypted at rest. Instatus says it has not completed an SOC audit and is working on a PCI compliance self-assessment. The Starter plan is free; Pro costs $20 a month.
