What it is
Inciteful is a free web-based tool for finding academic literature through citation networks. Paper Discovery builds a network from papers you select and can surface related papers, authors, and institutions. Its results can be filtered by keyword, network distance, and year. The Literature Connector maps citation paths between two papers in an interactive view, a tool suited to tracing connections across fields or entering a new research area. Inciteful says its database covers more than 240 million academic papers and indexes more than 2 billion citations, drawing on OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, Crossref, and OpenCitations.
