What it is
Hunyuan3D is Tencent’s system for creating high-resolution 3D assets from text or images. The international platform also accepts sketches and as many as four multi-view images, offers model editing and adjustment, and exports OBJ and GLB files. Hunyuan3D-2.1 includes image-to-shape and texture-generation models, with a physically based rendering texture-synthesis pipeline. Smart Topology optimizes meshes for triangular or quadrilateral faces. The API supports professional and rapid generation, texture generation, topology reduction, component generation, UV mapping, motion generation, auto-rigging, and format conversion. Tencent says Hunyuan3D-2.1 releases full model weights and training code; the Hunyuan3D-2 repository includes a Blender add-on, and a Gradio app can be run locally. macOS, Windows, and Linux are listed. Local VRAM requirements are 10 GB for shape generation, 21 GB for texturing, or 29 GB for both together. The new-user API pack provides 100 credits at no charge, valid for one year. Paid packs include 1,000 credits for CN¥100, paid once, 10,000 for CN¥980, paid once, 50,000 for CN¥4,750, paid once, and 100,000 for CN¥9,000, paid once; pay-as-you-go is 0.12 yuan per credit. The 2.5 and 3D-person 1.0 APIs stopped accepting new purchases on September 22, 2026, with service termination scheduled for October 20, 2026.
