HTTPie

What it is

HTTPie is an API client for building, sending, testing, and debugging requests to APIs, HTTP servers, and web services. Its Terminal client supports expressive syntax, JSON, formatted and colorized output, persistent sessions, forms, file uploads and downloads, HTTPS, proxies, authentication, and custom request data and headers. HTTPie also supports GraphQL. The graphical Desktop and Web app includes AI-assisted work, spaces, collections, tabs, variables, environments, request previews, and autosave with real-time syncing across devices. It can be used offline without an account, allowing requests to be built and previewed without sending them. Dedicated desktop apps are available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, with Mac downloads for Intel and Apple Silicon. The CLI can be installed on any operating system, with options including apt, brew, choco, pip, port, snap, and yum. The Terminal plan is an open-source CLI client, while the Web and Desktop plan is in public beta. Both plans are listed as free. HTTPie points users to documentation, Discord, Twitter, Stack Overflow, and GitHub Issues for questions and support.
