Hive Fabric
Hoboken, New Jersey, United States
What it is
Hive Fabric is an all-in-one virtualization platform for Windows and Linux desktop and server workloads, covering deployments from edge sites to enterprise multi-site environments. Built on the open-source KVM hypervisor, it provides hyperconverged and RAM-based storage and works with network and cloud storage technologies. A browser portal connects to desktops, servers, and physical systems through RDP or an integrated HTML5 client. Administrators can manage multiple sites and clusters from one interface, available from any host in a cluster. Desktop pools can span a cluster without shared storage, with live migration between hosts. Access controls support MFA through RADIUS or token-based Open Auth two-factor authentication. Data Protection replicates VMs, User Volumes, and Templates to chosen cloud or on-premises storage on daily, weekly, or monthly schedules. Hive Sense checks phone-home data hourly for issues and threats. Installation uses one ISO. Community Edition is free for one physical host and unlimited VMs; activation requires ClusterID registration.
