What it is
Haxelib is the library manager included with Haxe distributions, connecting developers to a central repository for finding, installing, and submitting libraries. The command line can install the latest release or a specified version, resolve dependencies from HXML files, and search project names or descriptions. An information command displays ownership, licensing, descriptions, websites, tags, current versions, and release notes. Developers can share libraries as ZIP archives or directories containing Haxe source and haxelib.json manifests. Haxelib also works with Git and Mercurial repositories, including private libraries, and can use local repositories inside a project directory. Installed libraries can be exposed to the Haxe compiler through --library or -L. The manager supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, dependency resolution, offline installation, HTTP proxies, and custom Haxelib servers. Libraries are free, and the public HaxeFoundation repository is licensed under MIT.
