Grapity
What it is
Grapity is an open-source API governance platform for teams managing API contracts and consumer changes. Its Registry checks a pushed specification against the previous version and blocks breaking changes with an explanation. It also enforces semantic version increments and tracks deprecation lifecycles, including affected consumers and sunset dates. The Hub provides a searchable API list, endpoint exploration, side-by-side version comparisons, and a version timeline. For Kong, Grapity Gateway creates configuration from registered specifications, and the CLI provisions it through decK. Kong access logs can be sent to the Registry for queries and traffic statistics. The listed governed formats are OpenAPI and AsyncAPI, and the platform supports CI/CD integration and role-based access control. Grapity is available on the web and on Windows, macOS, and Linux, or as a self-hosted deployment. Its Apache 2.0 open-source license has no features locked behind paywalls. The free self-hosted plan allows unlimited APIs and team members with self-managed PostgreSQL. The Cloud plan costs $29.95/mo and includes five APIs and five users; extra API and user charges are listed separately.
