Gimkit
Gimkit · Seattle, Washington, United States
What it is
Gimkit is a web-based live learning game for educators who host review activities for students. Teachers create kits containing questions, answers, and media, then select a language and subject. Hosts can set goals, allow late joining, control nickname generation, connect classes, and adjust options for particular game modes. The service includes quiz mode and live polling. Public kits can be shared by link and searched, while private kits stay out of the School Library; anyone with a public link can view its questions and answers. Gimkit Basic generally rotates three free game modes, while Pro provides all modes plus assignments, image uploads, and audio questions. Pro assignments let students work independently and report results, but only in 2D modes without teams or groups. Live games support up to 500 students, and 2D modes up to 60. Gimkit Creative is free with plan-based map storage.
