GameHQ
What it is
GameHQ is a free Windows application for controller-first game capture. It takes instant screenshots and saves a configurable rolling buffer of recent gameplay as MP4 clips with system audio. Capture resolution reaches 4K, and screenshots can be stored as PNG or JPEG. You can also save the frame currently displayed in a recorded clip. Its in-game overlay lets you browse, play, favorite, reveal, and delete captures while a borderless game remains visible. Controller navigation covers DualSense over USB or Bluetooth, XInput, and app-local GameInput. The library can watch Steam, Game Bar, NVIDIA, and OBS folders, with a separate Playnite integration available. Sharing works through Telegram Desktop, Discord, Discord channel webhooks, or the clipboard; GameHQ does not sign in to Telegram or Discord. The maker describes no account, telemetry, background service, or game-process injection. The app includes 16 interface languages and thirteen themes. It requires 64-bit Windows 10 version 1903 or newer, plus a GPU and driver supporting Windows Graphics Capture and H.264 encoding. Setup is recommended, while a portable ZIP is also offered. The core is GNU GPL version 3 licensed.
