Forsaken
What it is
Forsaken is a free, open-source emulator frontend that brings a retro gaming library together across Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows. It supports more than 65 retro gaming platforms through 159 emulator configurations. Library browsing is available in Grid, List, and 3D Carousel views, with displays that can include box art, screenshots, videos, and fan art. The frontend supports full gamepad navigation and keyboard shortcuts. Its download manager tracks queues and progress, and Forsaken can automatically detect and download BIOS files. Storage can be temporary or permanent, with smart cleanup available. The project is MIT licensed, community-driven, and translated into 14 languages; it invites contributions on GitHub. Windows and macOS are listed as build-from-source options using Flutter. Forsaken does not distribute ROMs or copyrighted game files, so users must supply their own legally obtained ROMs.
