Fast AAC
What it is
Fast AAC is a symbol-based communication app for people who need an alternative way to express themselves. Users can rearrange its image tiles, make new tiles, and add their own images to shape a grid around their communication needs. The Google Play listing describes more than 1,500 image tiles and smart suggestions that predict likely next words from a user’s entries. Tile colors are adjustable, and light and dark presets are available. Fast AAC supports speech output, touch and swipe access, multiple languages, and offline use on Android and iOS, including iPhone and iPad.
The privacy policy says the app collects no information and keeps user-created material on the device. It does not use advertising networks, analytics platforms, or cloud tracking services. There are no hosted accounts or cloud backups, so users are responsible for device-level backups. The download is free; premium features require a $12.99 one-time upgrade. The terms caution that predictions can be inaccurate and the app is not a medical device or a substitute for professional advice.
