Evidentum

What it is

Evidentum is a free web workbench for systematic literature reviews, covering search, screening, and research appraisal. Its PICO assistant creates editable concept blocks and search terms while showing live PubMed counts. Searches span PubMed, Europe PMC, Cochrane, Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, Scopus, and ClinicalTrials.gov, with deduplication. Evidentum can prepare strategies for Ovid Embase, Cochrane CENTRAL, and Web of Science, but users run those searches and import records themselves. Reporting checklists include CONSORT, PRISMA, STROBE, CARE, and AGREE II; risk-of-bias tools include RoB 2 and ROBINS-I V2. A browser-local PDF Scanner runs selected checks on uploaded papers. AI appraisal accepts user keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or xAI Grok, and sends paper content to the chosen provider. Projects and keys stay in the local browser. AI output is advisory and requires human verification. The non-commercial plan costs nothing.
