EQL Meter
What it is
EQL Meter is a free desktop app that tracks EverQuest Legends fights by reading character log files on the player's computer. It updates damage per second (DPS) in its main window and a click-through overlay, which stays on top while allowing interaction with the game beneath it. The main meter has DPS, Heals, Raid, and Loot tabs, plus a Combined view for multiple mobs, an ability breakdown, and a DPS chart. When the in-game `/who all raid` roster is known, the Raid tab provides group DPS information. The overlay appears above the game only when it is running windowed or borderless. EQL Meter runs on macOS and Windows and operates locally without an account or cloud backend. The app checks for newer releases on startup and offers an in-app update check and installation. The maker provides a guide for Mac players using EverQuest Legends in a Parallels virtual machine. The project is MIT licensed. The Mac app is not notarized by Apple, and its first launch may require clearing macOS quarantine in Terminal. Questions and feature ideas go to GitHub Discussions; bug reports go to GitHub Issues.
