Element34 Real Device Cloud
Zug, Switzerland
What it is
Element34 Real Device Cloud runs enterprise iOS and Android tests on real devices, emulators, and simulators within a private SBOX deployment. Deployment options include Element34-managed devices, customer-provided hardware, or a fully isolated environment. Managed pools can include phones, tablets, and selected legacy devices, with the final selection confirmed during deployment; customer-provided and isolated setups use hardware maintained by the customer’s lab. The service supports Selenium WebDriver, Playwright native context, and Appium through the SBOX grid, and lists XCUITest and UiAutomator2 among its automation support. Managed device pools are single-tenant per customer, and devices are wiped and re-flashed between sessions. Each real-device session records the device fingerprint, OS version, app bundle ID, and test result. Fully isolated environments use customer-owned devices, customer-hosted SBOX, and a customer-managed bridge, so test execution does not require external connectivity. Real Device Cloud is an add-on to an existing SBOX license, priced separately; annual licensing is available through a scoped quote from sales. The company says physical devices have been rolling out since Q1 2026 and directs customers to sales for current status.
