What it is
DramaQueen is desktop software for planning, writing, formatting, visualizing, and revising fictional stories. Users can move between plot, outline, and script or narrative text while developing a project, using storylines, structure models, turning points, character profiles, story arcs, and visual analysis. It supports novels, screenplays, audio dramas, stage works, musicals, and scripted podcasts. Smart Import accepts PDF, Word, Final Draft, TXT, and RTF files; paid editions export to Word, EPUB, Final Draft, PDF, and RTF, with listed formats also including EPUB3, Markdown, and Fountain. Final Draft exchange can retain characters, locations, script notes, scene titles, and summaries. Optional AI usage is billed by consumption, and the maker says user texts and ideas are not used to train the AI. The app works offline, though license checks and automatic updates need internet. Current downloads list Windows 10 or later and macOS 13 or later; Linux installers are legacy. A permanent FREE edition follows a 30-day trial period of 30 test days within three months.
