Dr.Web CureNet!
Moscow, Russia
What it is
Dr.Web CureNet! is a centrally managed utility for scanning and curing Windows PCs and servers, including machines that already have other antivirus software. It is designed for cleanup, not ongoing resident protection. Administrators can find hosts through Active Directory or search by IP address, range, mask, or NetBIOS name, then run scans on all or selected machines. Custom scans can be paused or stopped, and detected objects can be cured, renamed, quarantined, or deleted. Administrators can disconnect a remote host from the network during scanning to help prevent reinfection. CureNet! does not require a server or permanent scanner installation on target machines: temporary scanners run for a session and then remove themselves. The Wizard can also run from removable media such as a USB device. Its console can be launched from Windows or iOS. It can operate in networks without Internet access, but the console needs Internet access to update databases and components. The 10-day trial costs $0, and curing is unavailable during the trial. Target stations must run Windows XP Professional SP2 or later, with the listed x64 exceptions.
