Docket Navigator
What it is
Docket Navigator is a federal litigation research and intelligence platform available through the web and an API. Its structured data is mostly hand-coded by licensed U.S. attorneys, with court orders recorded in up to 29 fields. Researchers can filter by document type, motion posture and result, legal issue, parties, firms, attorneys, courts, patents, text, case status, outcomes and dates. Taxonomies include more than 700 motion types and more than 1,600 legal concepts. Case Profile Alerts provide new docket entries, attorney-written document summaries and links. The Docket Report summarizes patent, copyright and trademark litigation daily in U.S. district courts, with patent coverage extending to PTAB and ITC activity. New Case Alerts monitor PACER during the day. Case, patent, party and judge profiles show litigation history, outcomes, timing and decisions. Group accounts can add Docket Navigator Connect for AI-provider research; its help page lists Claude. Pricing is paid, includes a 30-day trial, and has no free plan.
