DiskScope
What it is
DiskScope is a free, open-source desktop application for analyzing disk usage, finding files, and uninstalling applications. It scans files, folders, and apps in parallel, then presents results in a sortable table, tree explorer, and zoomable treemap. Views show application sizes and file-type breakdowns. Fuzzy search can filter by type, extension, size, and modified date, and is designed to remain smooth beyond 100,000 rows. DiskScope measures actual on-disk usage, including sparse and compressed files. Deleting items sends them to the Recycle Bin; emptying it permanently clears contents after confirmation. On Windows, the Applications tab displays uninstall commands and launches native uninstallers after confirmation. Analysis and search work on Windows, Linux, and macOS, while uninstalling and emptying the Recycle Bin are Windows-only. Downloads list Windows 10/11 x64, macOS 12 or later, and Linux x64 builds; macOS and Linux builds are marked experimental and not tested yet. The maker says DiskScope runs locally, sends no telemetry, and makes only an update-check request. It is MIT licensed.
