Dialogue Forge
What it is
Dialogue Forge is a web visual editor for creating branching dialogue trees for games and interactive fiction. On its canvas, users place Character and Action nodes and connect them into conversation graphs. Projects support number, float, boolean, string, list, and object variables, with conditions controlling which paths are available. A dialogue simulator previews conversations, while a continuously running validation bar identifies errors and warnings. The editor exports structured JSON that a game's own runtime can traverse. The maker names Unity, Godot, and Unreal Engine as compatible engines and also supports custom runtimes. Edge conditions and metadata in exported JSON are reserved for future runtime logic. Dialogue Forge works while signed out and stores projects in the browser; signing in enables access on more than one device. The Free plan costs nothing, includes commercial use, requires no account, and has no export paywall. Support is available through a contact form.
