Detecto is a web service that estimates the likelihood that text, images, video or audio were generated by AI, returning probabilities, supporting evidence and reviewer reports. Text reports can highlight sentences and include perplexity, burstiness and a confidence band. Image reports provide a generation likelihood, region heatmap, surface-artifact flags and metadata-integrity checks. Reviewers can add notes, save reports, export PDFs or share them through controlled links. Scans and reports are private to the account by default, and ephemeral mode allows a scan without retaining its content or report. Detecto says submissions are not used to train its detection models. A free tier provides starter credits and full report fidelity without a card. Student costs $6.99 a month (billed $83.88/yr) and requires a verified school email; Pro costs $19.99 a month (billed $239.88/yr), while Max costs $59.90 a month (billed $718.80/yr). Student covers text and image checks; Pro and Max cover text, image, audio and video.
