DataCore SANsymphony
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
What it is
DataCore SANsymphony is self-hosted, block-based software-defined storage for SAN and hyperconverged environments. It pools storage from different hardware while centrally managing capacity provisioning and data placement. RAM caching, parallel I/O processing, auto-tiering, and load balancing address performance across mixed storage. Availability features include synchronous mirroring, asynchronous replication with failover and failback, snapshots, and continuous data protection. Supported protocols include NVMe, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and SAS/SATA; Windows File Server provides NFS and SMB access. Administrators can use a console, REST API, PowerShell API, plug-ins, provisioning, orchestration, and real-time or historical charts. Encryption and immutability protect data and recovery points, and backup-tool integration is supported. Four editions cover high-performance, midrange, smaller high-availability, and backup or replication needs. Pricing is on request, with a trial available.
