CraftMC Minecraft Map Art Generator
What it is
CraftMC Minecraft Map Art Generator is a free web tool that converts PNG, JPG or WebP images into Java Edition filled-map items for item-frame displays. It supports custom rectangular walls up to 16×16 maps, or 256 maps total. Each map stores 128×128 pixels, so larger images are divided at those boundaries. The preview applies Java map color IDs and four brightness shades, while generated map data is marked locked so ordinary terrain updates do not repaint the artwork. A downloaded ZIP contains map data files, an ID counter, tile previews, give commands, a layout and installation instructions. Resizing, color conversion, splitting, NBT writing and ZIP creation happen locally in the browser; CraftMC says the image is not uploaded. Installing the files requires access to a world data folder, such as a Java singleplayer world or an editable server folder. The files target Java Edition and cannot be copied into a Bedrock world.
