Clarifai Visual Search
What it is
Clarifai Visual Search helps people locate people, places, objects, topics, and products in images or videos without describing them in text. In retail, shoppers can submit a photo to find similar products, identify purchasable items in rooms or outfits, and receive alternatives when an item is unavailable. Searches can compare whole images or focus on regions detected within an image. The API supports semantic similarity retrieval, metadata filters, combined conditions, and vector search based on AI-generated embeddings. One object-search workflow accepts SVG, PNG, JPG, and GIF uploads up to 800 by 400 pixels. Clarifai offers API, web, self-hosted, and hybrid deployment, including shared or dedicated cloud, customer VPCs, on-premises, and edge environments. It lists object detection, image classification, face recognition, OCR, and custom models. Founded in 2013, Clarifai says private customer data stays confidential unless shared with its Community and states SOC 2 Type 2 compliance.
