Chyron VSAR
What it is
Chyron VSAR is Windows software for virtual production, combining Unreal Engine graphics with Chyron broadcast design, editorial, and live-production capabilities. It supports green-screen environments, augmented-reality elements on physical sets, and tracked virtual-set extensions feeding video walls. The built-in toolkit edits Unreal elements and creates data-connected 3D text and objects, weather templates, and virtual-screen templates. Template-based scenes and models can be used from an NRCS to build rundowns, preview changes, and send scene updates to playout. VSAR can run manually or through a CAMIO | NRCS-controlled rundown. Its Cesium tracking processor runs on the host machine without extra hardware and supports industry-standard protocols. The browser-accessible Mercury Panel controls virtual cameras for trackless applications. Video support includes two cameras on one engine, SDI, HD, 4K UHD, and HDR. A dedicated engine can generate real-time SDI previews.
