Chiaki-ng
What it is
Chiaki-ng is a free, open-source client for remote play from PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. It continues the Chiaki project and is listed for Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows. Setup guidance covers finding a console on a local network, registering it, and connecting remotely through PSN or a manual connection. Streaming options include configurable video, stream, audio, and Wi-Fi settings, as well as PS5 HDR streaming with an H265 HDR codec option. Controller guidance covers mapping, gyro controls, haptics, adaptive triggers, DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers, and Steam Deck layouts. Scripts can wake a PlayStation and launch the client. Remote PSN connections support IPv4 only, and UDP hole punching may fail on some networks; those cases require a manual connection with port forwarding. PS4 remote play through PSN works only with the account’s main registered console. PS5 haptics and adaptive-trigger support are experimental and opt-in. Chiaki-ng is free, and its project states it is not endorsed or certified by Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC.
