BottleLite
What it is
BottleLite is a free, open-source macOS app for organizing Wine bottles and running Windows programs through a Wine installation already on the computer. It requires macOS 14 or newer and a separately installed Wine runtime. You can create, rename, and delete bottles, with bottle records and imported programs saved under Application Support and restored at launch. Windows .exe imports are checked for the expected extension and MZ header, then isolated in individual bottles. Each launch records standard output and error in a program log. Console applications can open in Terminal.app, with a per-program override. Tools include Wine-prefix initialization, winecfg, installers, C: drive access in Finder, and winetricks dependencies such as .NET, Visual C++, corefonts, DXVK, and DirectX 9. Per-bottle Game Mode enables several Wine and macOS options plus a Metal FPS overlay. BottleLite has no telemetry, account, embedded browser, or bundled Wine runtime. Version 0.2.0 includes per-bottle Wine selection and Steam launch improvements.
