Bookmark
What it is
Bookmark is an iPhone app for keeping links, social posts, and videos shared from a browser, Instagram, or TikTok in one collection. From Safari or Chrome, users can save a page by selecting Bookmark in the Share menu, or send Instagram posts and TikTok videos directly to the app. Items appear under Today and can be placed in folders, labeled, browsed by day, or filtered by source. The free iPhone plan costs nothing. Bookmark says it collects account email and hashed password information, saved URLs, labels, folders, save times, and short-lived technical logs. It says it does not collect browsing history, contacts, location, or data from Instagram or TikTok accounts, and does not sell data or show ads. App-to-server traffic uses HTTPS, and data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure in the United States. Users can delete saved items, folders, or their account; access, correction, and export requests depend on location. Opening a saved link may route through Skimlinks or add an Amazon Associates tag. The service cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that saved data will never be lost.
For and against
For
- Saves from Safari and Chrome sharing
- Accepts Instagram posts and TikTok videos
- Organizes items by folder, label, day, or source
- Offers account and save deletion
- Does not show ads
Against
- Available on iOS only
- Availability and saved-data retention are not guaranteed
- Saved links may route through affiliate partners
The verdict
Bookmark offers a free way to gather and sort shared links and social media items on iPhone. Its terms caution against relying on it as the only copy of important material.
Who it suits
Bookmark suits iPhone users who want to collect and organize browser pages and social posts in one place. It may not suit people who need guaranteed availability or a sole copy of critical material.
