What it is
ApiFlash is a cloud screenshot API that captures web pages as images through a unique HTTPS endpoint. Requests use an access key and can be sent with GET or POST. Capture controls include full-page and mobile screenshots, viewport settings, CSS-element selection, JavaScript injection, headers, cookies, and time zones. Current Google Chrome instances render pages, and outputs can be PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Screenshots may also be exported to Amazon S3 or an S3-compatible provider. The service runs on AWS Lambda, and each capture uses an isolated Chrome instance that is destroyed with its temporary data afterward. ApiFlash permits 20 requests per second, with bursts of up to 400 requests. Its free plan includes 100 screenshots. The Lite plan costs $7.00 per month for 1,000 screenshots; Medium costs $35.00 per month for 10,000, and Large costs $180.00 per month for 100,000. Those plans include full-page and mobile screenshots, ad blocking, cookie-banner hiding, and S3 export. Some strict bot-protection systems can block captures; ApiFlash recommends supplying a proxy in those cases.
