Angular Material
What it is
Angular Material is a free web library of Material Design UI components for Angular applications. Add it with the Angular CLI command `ng add @angular/material`, then select a prebuilt theme or configure a custom theme. Setup can add global typography styles, the Roboto font, and Material Symbols. Schematics can generate components such as navigation, tables, and address forms. The Angular CDK supplies tools for creating custom components around common interaction patterns. The Angular Components team describes the components as internationalized and accessible, with listed screen-reader combinations spanning Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS. Support covers the most recent two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. The project follows Angular’s release policy. It focuses on UI components rather than application layout, and Shadow DOM is not officially supported.
