AJA System Test
Grass Valley, California, United States
What it is
AJA System Test is a free utility for measuring drive performance and estimating whether a storage system can handle recording and playback at different resolutions and codecs. It runs on macOS and Windows. The graphical interface lets users choose a test type, drive, video size, frame rate, file size, and connected video device. Drive tests measure read/write speed and throughput, including network-mapped drives. Other workloads cover PCIe bandwidth, AJA-device DMA, and combined disk and device I/O. Results can appear in MB/sec or FPS with graphs. Reports can be exported as text, PDF, or SPX, and text output can be copied into other software for analysis or archiving. Custom test profiles are supported. The full version in AJA Desktop Software downloads adds PCIe bandwidth testing for PCIe-based I/O devices. The standalone AJA System Test Lite v16.0 is listed as free. No comparison database or CLI automation is included.
