Aftershoot
Aftershoot · India and the US (the company says it operates and controls the service from offices in both countries) · founded 2020
What it is
Aftershoot is AI-powered photo post-processing software for photographers on Windows and macOS. Its culling tools score and group images using sharpness, exposure, blinks, duplicates, facial expressions, and composition. Editing profiles learn from a photographer’s edited images, while manual adjustments remain available. Retouching provides adjustable subject sliders and presets that can apply across multiple images. The software handles RAW, JPEG, and TIFF files, with bulk renaming and resizing. Culling integrates with Lightroom Classic and Capture One and preserves ratings, color labels, and flags on export. Aftershoot says processing happens locally and can continue offline without cloud uploads or a constant connection. New users receive a 30-day trial without a credit card. Select costs $10.00 per month billed annually ($120/year), or $15/month monthly; other plans cover editing, retouching, or combinations.
