ActiveWords

What it is

ActiveWords turns typed words into Windows automation triggers for text expansion, autocorrection, application launching, and scripted workflows. It can insert plain text or rich content such as RTF, HTML, and images, correct spelling in every context, open programs, files, folders, or web pages, and run several actions from one word. Version 5 includes ActionPad for finding words, applications, files, folders, and Start Menu items, plus advanced and date calculations. Selected Text actions can search highlighted text, create email, open a URL, send text to a custom script, or display it in Large Type. Sync stores Words, Actions, and Tags in a cloud-synced folder commonly used with Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, and Google Drive. Enterprise deployments add shared items, multiple shared files, centralized control, Terminal Services, LAN, WAN, NAS, and AES encryption. ActiveWords supports Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2019; Windows 7 is unsupported. A free 60-day trial requires no credit card, but there is no free plan.
